Bobbi Jo Chambers

Bobbi Jo Chambers

Bobbi was born and raised in a small logging town of eastern Washington State called Chewelah.

Riding horses was introduced to her at a very young age.  Winning her first trophy at 3 years old, Bobbi was awarded the youngest showman at the local county fair.

4H was a key foundation to her as she grew up.  Participating as leadership roles in clubs, putting on educational demonstrations, and working towards riding competitions at the district and state level were all achieved by the time she was 13.  It was then she began riding with professional trainers competing on the northwest regional circuits in both English and Western disciplines.

At the top of her youth career, Bobbi had won the Saddleseat Equitation National Championship in Santa Barbara California, and was top 8th at the Kentucky State Fair World Championship show in Louisville Kentucky.   Luckily she graduated from High School and attended the local community college where she learned business management and computer science.

Bobbi then moved to Denver Colorado where she lived for 4 years working in the apparel business, yet returned home to Washington where she started her own software company working in the logging business.

Bobbi and Barney Chambers

Then in year 1989 she met Barney Chambers of Coyote Mule Company at a local mule show.  This is when Bobbi learned about mules and teamed up with Barney, selling and training.

Bobbi had always been around mules,  as her parents had their own personal string of mules they used for hunting and camping in the backcountry of Idaho.

The “Barney and Bobbi team” raised their first world champion mule named “Little Bonita” at the 2003 Green Western Performance in Bishop, California.

Throughout these early years,  Bobbi competed with mules, winning many championships from California to Houston, Texas and Denver, Colorado.  In 2009 she was awarded Reserve World Champion Gymkana Mule by the American Mule Association.
